Event Stylist Position
Calling All Creative Minds!
Brief Description
We’re looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented Event Stylist who loves bringing a design vision to life.
This position is responsible for setting up and styling events on event day, making sure everything from table settings and centerpieces to décor, lounge furniture, ceremony spaces, and specialty areas are fully set and reflects the overall aesthetic of the event.
But this role is more than just setting up pretty things.
Behind the scenes of an event can be fast-paced, physical, and sometimes unpredictable. We need someone who is resourceful, thinks outside the box, stays calm under pressure, and can figure things out on the spot when plans change or challenges come up.
The right person will have a strong creative eye, be extremely detail-oriented, work well with a team, and take pride in making sure every detail looks intentional and finished.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Setup and styling of guest tables, sweetheart tables, cake tables, lounge furniture, ceremony décor, bar décor, registration areas, cocktail spaces, stage decor and other event areas as needed for both weddings and corporate events
• Follow design packets, inspiration images, layouts, and styling direction to accurately execute the vision for each event
• Style tablescapes, furniture groupings, décor, accessories, pillows, rugs, candles, signage, and other decorative elements
• Make adjustments onsite to ensure spaces feel balanced, polished, and cohesive
• Problem-solve quickly when unexpected challenges come up during setup
• Think creatively and resourcefully when working with different venues, spaces, timelines, and available materials
• Work closely with other team members to complete installations within tight event timelines
• Assist with moving, placing, and adjusting furniture and décor
• Climb ladders when necessary for decorating and installations
• Safely use basic hand tools when needed during setups
• Help ensure every event area is clean, organized, photo-ready, and completed to our standards before leaving the venue
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has an extremely creative eye and enjoys styling and designing spaces
• Is resourceful and able to think outside the box
• Can think quickly on their feet and solve problems without getting overwhelmed
• Is highly detail-oriented and notices the little things others may miss
• Has somewhat of a perfectionist mindset when it comes to presentation and finishing details
• Can take direction while also being confident making decisions when necessary
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to jump in wherever needed
• Understands that event work can be physical, fast-paced, and sometimes messy behind the scenes
• Is comfortable working under tight timelines and deadlines
• Is able to move quickly and stand for long periods of time in indoor and outdoor environments
• Keeps up with current event, wedding, décor, and design trends
Qualifications
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be comfortable climbing a ladder
• Familiarity with very basic hand tools is preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Valid Driver’s License
• 1+ years of experience in the event, wedding, hospitality, floral, visual merchandising, interior styling, or related creative industry is preferred
Schedule & Availability
This position requires flexibility based on our event schedule.
Candidates must be available to work:
• Monday–Friday
• Weekends as needed
• Some early mornings for event installations if needed
• After-hours and late nights for certain events and breakdowns if needed
This Role Is More Than Just Setting up
We want candidates to understand that this position isn’t simply about placing tables, pillows, and décor.
You are helping create the final look and feel that our clients and their guests will experience.
Sometimes that means adjusting something five times until it looks right. Sometimes it means finding a creative solution when something doesn’t work as planned. And sometimes it means jumping in to help the team wherever you’re needed.
If you’re creative, hardworking, resourceful, detail-obsessed, and love seeing a space completely transform because of the work you helped create, we’d love to meet you.
